Urban Fabric Photography on Broadway
Hi everyone... Just had a bit of good news to share..
Taken last year, the image below has been selected by the City of Dallas to represent big D this holiday season in a feature brought to you by the good folks at ABC. It will be blown up on a large 'window size' transparency and displayed on the exterior windows of the ABC studios overlooking Broadway. Dallas will be 1 of only 4 cities featured. At any rate, if you're in NYC over the next couple months, keep an eye out for it ...and please snap a pic! ![]() Last edited by Ninjatune™ : 11-18-2007 at 12:25 PM. |

Ninjatune, what a great addition to your portfolio! You deserve to be very proud to have your work featured so prominently in New York. Though I doubt that I will ever develop my photographic skills as you have, your work does serve as an inspiration, and I thank you for that.

Congratulations Ninja. Great Work! I'm happy to see you get this additional exposure and give others an opportunity to see/appreciate what we've all been appreciating for a long time around here.

Congrats Ninja! Too bad it won't still be up when I visit NYC in Dec '08. This is excellent, and also great to hear that you might be going up there to see it in person!

i have an idea, but need to confirm a few things with my printers first. i need to find out how the dimensions will affect cost and decide on a final size... once i get everything squared away, i'll shot you a PM.. forum members obviously get the hookup. (; Quote:
cool man, i'll only be offering one size though.. length will be around 30 at the very least.. i'd like this first run to be a limited number of identical prints to commemorate the occasion.. i'll be able to start taking orders when i get all the details hammered out.. |

Great shot Ninja, but not my favorite of Dallas... IMO I don't think Dallas captures well from this angle. But very cool for you and for Dallas!!! Hopefully someone can snap a photo of this.

I saw the unveiling, then later when they talked to the designer and the guy from the CVB. Plus I got it on tape (yes, I still use VHS). I'm pretty sure I recognized the picture, though it wasn't really in "picture" form. Unfair Park has some pictures of the window, sent to them from ABC.

Justin My apologies
I had no idea that Brad was going to alter your photo in such a way. Please, I hope you'll continue to bring me great shots of the city to work with up here at the DCVB. Dude, between me as Art Director and you as the most Kick Ass Photographer in town, the two of us one day can TRULY CHANGE THE PERCEPTION OF THIS CITY. It's just gonna take a little 'Gen X' magic between the two of us!

I'll take that window over a window from Houston or SA or ATL or another city.
Yea, I was hoping for a nicer job. But we are there next to Chicago and NYC.

ahoy, party people... thanks for the kind words and support!
i appreciate the show of concern regarding alterations to the image... i'm very thankful for people that care enough to step up and protect my work.. at the same time, i understand how things go and don't hold anything against the other creative forces involved. i've learned to accept such situations and remind myself that this is what i'm paid for.. in this case, my main concern is making sure my client is satisfied with the services i've provided.. again, thank you all so much for your concern and continued support! |
