I agree with UrbanBiker - why in the world would we purposefully make a building right smack dab in the middle of town that we're trying to revitalize a tenement? That makes absolutely no sense.
I know the building is sitting there rotting, but the business went under due to mismanagement; and since that happened, the far east owners have wanted a ridiculous amount of money for it.
Regardless of its current state, it is one of the most historically- and architecturally- significant buildings we've got - and I think most of us think it could be great again.
