    Urban Transport Technology

This is meant to be a catch-all thread regarding anything related to urban/regional transportation technology and related info.

I recently noticed an online bit about a Catenary-Free technology by Bombardier for light rail and/or modern streetcar systems. Thought I'd share the word for those who hadn't seen the concept. . .

Sounds interesting. I'd like to learn quite a bit more about their testing results, cost, and so on. . .
I'm aware a few other catenary-free instances or ideas (non- third-rail), but, this one appears fairly new.
