    Death of the Smileys!

I saw that a smiley in one of my old posts turned back into text, so I looked at the list... sure 'nough, the smiley list is down to a reasonable assortment that fits on a single page!

    To which I say:

I've seen some forums, though, where there is a huge selection of smilies for those who communicate better visually than with mere text. It's workable because the "basic" smilies are displayed, with a link to "more smilies". I do prefer the written word, but I'm sensitive to the needs of the left-brained folks (or is it right-brained, I can never keep those straight). Is there a way to do that on this forum, if only so that existing graphical post decorations aren't orphaned? :2peace:
As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals... Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake. - B. Obama 1/20/09

I think the joints in my fingers will last a couple years longer now that I don't have to use the scroll wheel 3 or 4 times to hit "Submit Reply"

Yes, there is, as other vBulletin forums do it all the time. This is the only forum I've seen that uses vBulletin that has every single smilie visible at all times. I'm not sure how to do it, though, as I've never run a forum, I just know that it can be done.
