    I enjoyed your work a lot.
    http://www.historylink.org/essays/ou...m?file_id=1976 suggests that Seattle developed fairly early (Dallas and Seattle, for instance, each had about 40,000 people in 1890; in 1910 Dallas counted 90,000 to Seattle's 240,000). Is there anything particularly Northern about public attitude and behavior there?
