Looking good. Only a matter of time before the neighborhood is transformed.

Yeah, I have all the interior colors picked out, it'll just be a matter of if I can afford to do all of it at once, or if it'll be done in phases.

Just make sure you really like your colors. We just got finished painting our second color (in two days) in the living room.

^photoshop-like programs can really help with that. Just take a pic and start filling in colors on the computer.

Here's pics from yesterday. At this point the main changes are that electricity is now in and working, the back yard has been graded and the front sidewalk is installed.

Well they just finished the grading of the front and back yards today. The interior is almost done...just the flooring in the master, master bath, master closet and laundry room has to be done as well as the downstairs flooring. While I was there, the security system man was installing the motion sensors and the keypads. So hopefully it should be done soon!

As of right now they're still saying the 17th of March, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that is the case.

Lol! Well we closed today. Things ran longer than expected. I unfortunately am not able to get movers (lost my job, no money for it REALLY long story!) so am did get some stuff moved in tonight, but will try to do most of it tomorrow. (Btw: if there is anyone who is willing to help out with me moving I would be so greatly appreciative! Please PM me.)

So as far as pics are concerned I'm gonna wait until I'm all settled in and then get some more out. Of course I am still planning on the housewarming party so will keep y'all posted on that as well!

Well am almost completely moved in! Yeah! There's of course been a few new construction issues so that's taking awhile. Also the town house was broken into on Tuesday night. There were a couple of windows damaged and a few items stolen, but nothing too major. So there's been a few issues, but all is going well so far. I'll get more pics once i'm more settled.

Am pretty much completely in. The windows were repaired two days later. Have been busy trying to get the house settled and do at least some painting. As of right now I don't know when I'm going to be able to do the housewarming party. But like I said earlier, everyone here is invited. Will post pics tomorrow of the current status!

Sorry for the delay, but here are some pics from yesterday. I've only been able to get a little bit of painting done, and the house isn't quiet organized yet, but it gives you an idea!

Thanks! Everything's happening slowly, but surely! Hopefully I'll be able to get some plantings in soon and then sod the back yard once the fencing is done. One side is being put up today by one neighbor, so hopefully I'll be able to get the other side done fairly soon.

The first pic with the sod and brick facade is the front, and then the 2nd and 3rd pics with the dirt and siding is the back yard.

Sorry that's it's been so long that I've posted on here....I've been waiting for my backyard to get a bit more settled. Here's two pics showing some of the work that I've done. (They're from my phone so don't mind the quality!) I added a small patio, some shrubs and trasfered a hedge from mom and dad's place, which in these pics was green but now is pretty brown, so am hoping it's just shock and that they aren't dead! But the plan is that I will have the housewarming party in August as a combination with my birthday party....wanted to hold off until the yard was more established and also wait till Ikea opens! Want to get some stuff from there!

I am very much so. I haven't had any more problems except that my hose out front was stolen but that's not a huge deal. It's just so nice to have the yard and be SO close to downtown. It was nice to watch the fireworks from the front stoop too on Sunday. It's just taking a long time to get everything the way I want....haven't done anywhere near the painting I want to, but it'll all come with time....no rush when you're not renting right!

BTW...Bennett Miller is going to be starting on the 2nd phase on Seegar St I believe here in just a couple of months. I've seen the floor plans for them and they are really nice. And there's 7 units instead of 6. So if anyone's interested I'd contact him SOON cause we know they'll all sell out quickly.

Well I've finally set up a date for the housewarming party which I'm combining with my b-day as well. It's on August 6th (A Saturday) at 1pm. All of you are invited of course, I just ask that you RSVP to me via PM if you could. Thanks!

Here's a couple of shots of the house from today and a little while back. They have FINALLY installed the new side walk around the front and sides of the development and are just now installing the wrought iron fencing. The city of Dallas was supposed to do that, but they lost the paperwork and so the Bennett Miller (the developer) is having to pay for everything out of his own pocket. I will try to get some more interior shots up cause I've done some updating inside (thank God for Ikea!) but have been sick for the past couple of weeks so the house isn't looking it's best! Lol!

Yep, and about 15 or so people showed up so it was a nice turn out. Wish some of the people on the forum could have shown up, but I'll probably have another get together later for all the forumers only.

Looks nice, would love to have a look-round the Cedars. Had fun at the Absinthe one night recently, would like to try Lee Harvey's.

Please let us know if you have another 'house-warming'. The last was the same day as the fajita-rita and I had a friend showing some art at the MAC as well...
