I love it. Dallas needs some of it.
I kind of like Central Saint Giles, under construction in London and designed by Renzo Piano. What are your thoughts? It definitely departs from the solid glass construction and provides a bit of interest in the city.
It also reminds me a bit of our colorful building (the only one left downtown), 211 N Ervay.

Is it too late to paint the City Performance Hall with that same yellow? I know I'll warm up to it but gray side-by-side seems kinda cold.

Yikes! I guess I'm in the minority because I don't find those attractive in the slightest. I'm all for color, but I'd prefer our city not look like a Crayola box. Maybe a little more muted like these buildings in Nice?
Edit: BTW, I know a few people that consider 211 N Ervay one of their favorite buildings in downtown.
