Reminder - 2009 "Best Of" Polls Are Coming

Well, Can you believe it? We're halfway through this year, already. It's time to start thinking about our awards for 2009. So, this is a friendly reminder to start thinking about your nominations for 2009's "Best of" polls, and a request for your comments regrading things you'd like to see, and/or how we can make the awards better.

This year, the Administrators/Moderators would like to hear from you any suggestions you may have for the upcoming awards.

One poster has already suggested a new category for "Most Underrated Project," which I think will be added. So, if you can think of any projects that fit this category, please submit them. Or, if you have your own category submissions, bring 'em on.

I, personally, look forward to reading your responses.

Playing off that new category, how about a "Most Overrated Project"?

Off the top of my head, here some others:
    1. "Best (Completed) TOD"
    2. "Best (Proposed) TOD"
    3. "Favorite New Business in DTD"
    4. "Favorite New Business in Uptown"
    5. "Best (Completed) Renovation Project"
    6. "Best (Completed) New Construction Project"
    7. "Best (Proposed) Renovation Project"
    8. "Best (Proposed) New Construction Project"

Btw, what are the "rules" with nominations with projects? Do they have to have opened in 2009? Or can any announced project count? (ex.: Main Street Garden opens this year, but the College Football Hall of Fame was only proposed.) Maybe two separate categories?
