There are two other challenges as well, one focused on connecting the hike/bike trails of Dallas and the other on TODs. Anyway, this group has received the City's blessing and has said they hope to be able to use our plan around the city if its successful. Needless to say, we have their attention, and its a great opportunity. The facebook page is here

The forum will be held this Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Museum of Biblical Art, 7500 Park Lane at Boedeker. The event is free and open to the public.


All of the candidates running to serve on the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees have committed to attend. Welcome remarks will be given by Mike Rawlings. Immediately following the forum, guests are invited to visit the museum free of charge.

This paywalled article talks about the upcoming redevelopment of the center. Whole Foods is moving over (from its spot in Dal-Rich Village at Coit/Belt Line) and taking the old Sakowitz/Bed Bath & Beyond spot. Looks like they're getting rid of some of the building on the south side and making it into parking, while it will take in part of the parking on the north side for part of the Whole Foods building.
