"It seems that you've been living two lives. One life, you're Thomas A. Anderson, program writer for a respectable software company. You have a social security number, pay your taxes, and you... help your landlady carry out her garbage. The other life is lived in computers, where you go by the hacker alias "cowboyeagle05" and are guilty of virtually every computer crime we have a law for. One of these lives has a future, and one of them does not."

Well I tend to work the mid-day shifts cause I believe the owner does not pay me to stand around and I am pretty good at finding work to do even if I am not making coffee or making one of our wonderful chicken salad sandwiches for a customer. Although I will be working the morning shift Friday if you wanna stop by again.
Plus just a warning I am taking the Stand Up comedy Class that is held at Opening Bell Coffee Mosaic every Tuesday night. And as a result I have started doing sets at the open mic "The Comedy Show" Wednesday nights at the Mosaic. Basically I live at Opening Bell Coffee now, if only I could afford to live in the Mosaic then I would be set.

Okay I am someone who if I cant find a parking spot right out front will drive onto another coffee shop. One thing I like about the starbucks at the magnolia hotel is you can just use their valet to park and run in and grab a coffee, I have been thinking about checking your place out, but is there anywhere one can park a rather large suv right in front or should I keep going to starbucks when downtown?

It's impossible to park right in front of Opening Bell, as the DART rail line is directly out front.
You could park on Akard out side of Scene, with your flashers on, as if you're loading/unloading something. Or you could pull into the valet area of the Mosaic & see if they mind you running into Opening Bell for a coffee. There are some meters on Federal St., which is on the north side of the Mosaic, but I rarely see them open.

Or there is the possibility of turning onto Pacific Avenue which heads east and pulling off to the side near Thanksgiving Square which does allow traffic to pass you while you run across the tracks to get cup of coffee.

I thought about that, but there are two huge DO NOT ENTER (except buses) signs, and a half-dozen NO PARKING signs on that stretch.

It took me until this post to realize that Opening Bell must have opened another location. I was about to post a correction, that Cedars Station is a good block and a half away from there. Shows how in-the-loop *I* am! But in any case, congratulations. :)

Yeah, there's a location on the ground floor of the Mosaic, facing the DART rail at Pacific/Bryan.

I assume they opened that location *after* the "Standard & Pours" debacle. It would have sucked to have to change the signage in both places.

The name has been Opening Bell for years now. They settled the lawsuit with Standard & Poor by changing the name. Now stupidly Standard & Poor the stock market company that sued the owner of Opening Bell Coffee (formerly Standard & Pours) is going into the coffee business. Standard & Poor announced recently that they are going to sell S&P branded coffee. I guess after seeing Opening Bell was doing pretty good business with it they wanted some of the action.
