I was driving on Harwood (next to the KPMG building) and noticed that there were permits posted on an abandoned storefront for a restaurant forth coming. The address is 609 N. Harwood St and it used to be Angel Restaurant (I think) way back when. Anyone know what's coming into this spot? Here is a pic of where the restaurant is coming in.
I am curious, because this area already has Carmine's pizza, Dickeys BBQ, Good Day Cafe, Quiznos, and Sushi Japan restaurants close by. I just don't know how many of these places this are can support.

this was always some sort of club that targeted the Hispanic/Latino crowd. i think somebody got shot there not too long ago. it may have been that shooting that happened after the DJ played some hip hop song about representing your 'hood. there were rival gangs there, and next thing you know, somebody got shot (maybe died). i think it was at this place. i'll google it.

Yes, I believe that you have it correct - and died is also correct - it hasn't been open since

If we're lucky, parts of downtown may have [finally] reached the threshold of consumer wants and desires that will return popularity to the street scene; after that step has been made, more choices for consumers mean more potential revenue for all ground floor business operators.
