I'm interested to know if there are any comprhensive plans on how to effectively connect the various districts in an around Downtown. It would be nice to think that a visitor could begin Dowtown and have some mode of free transportation to carry them to shopping in Bishop Arts then on to entertainment in Victory, antiquing in the Trinity Design District, museums in the Arts District, etc. Does anybody remember when the Hop-A-Bus ran around Downtown? They were big pink busses with bunny ears sticking up on top... I don't remember if it was free, but it was a short route circular that just stayed in the CBD. Something like that but expanded to the other districts would be great. The question is would it be expanded trolley lines, a hop-a-bus, or some other fun form of transportation... oh what about a sky tram... that would ROCK! Other ideas?

See the Downtown Dallas Transit Study thread (http://forum.dallasmetropolis.com/showthread.php?t=6792) pinned on top.

Also, Angela Hunt had something to say on this issue. See her map in her blog ( http://www.angelahunt.com/blog/comment.asp?bi=232&m=2&y=2008&d=&s=).

The best thing dart could do now as a circulator is Bus #8 from Union Sta to Crescent. Frequency of service isnt on par IMO for a circulator.
