Mcdonalds at 2221 Abrams is gone , a new one will be built on the same spot.
this was taken early in the demo. I was later asked to stop taking photo by a security guard on site. LOL I found A new vantage point and kept shooting for few minutes. He was a littlle pissed at me

I'm sure you are probably already aware of your rights as a photographer, but I wanted to post this link anyway.

There is a pdf there that can be printed that a photographer can put in their camera bag or just memorize (he he) that lays out our basic rights as photographers so we don't get pushed around or threatened my well meaning people in authority.

buggery bollocks... as long as you're not on their property, and there's nothing federal in view, you're well within your rights...
don't let'm tell you otherwise..

Thanks Ninja, for their reminder. By the time he said anything I pretty much got what I needed. I let him know that he no grounds that he couldn't ask me to stop shooting, but I just left I was not on his property so pop off some other shot from a different area. I ll bet his demo company wasn't in compliance with the city, bet he was afraid of that. Cold girl thanks for the pdf I can be aggresive with these guys, when I have , done it before., I do always appreciate you watching my back
What is so funny that I had been shooting for over minutes before the guy confronted me . LOL.
Take care all.

i doubt he was trying to cover anything up.. i'm willing to bet this guy (and most security guards) automatically attempt to stop photographers by default - regardless of the assignment... this seems to be the status quo....

This will be my last word on this.
There were several questionable things here this particular job.
No hard hat being worn on the job, no demo permit were found any where on the site and no demo fence was erected on the site, I never did get answer to the question about who the actual demo company was. I did ask a few question, but he guy obviously did not want me there.
I think someone was cutting corners and ya know JT how photo speak volumes. I was a threat
Documenting is my job and a messege to that Securty Guard "Get used to it"
Just my thoughts
Now back to your regular posting material On subject of course!!!

Would love to see Mc-D's similar to the one by Valley View Mall. Wish I had that when I was a kid.
