I am curious about a parcel of land- just next to 3225 Turtle Creek (high-rise apartments being converted into condos for sale). The tract next to it- once slated for the development of a Ritz Carlton- still sits vacant. I was wondering if anyone has heard any rumors as to future development? Would the land best be served as a hotel, apartments, mixed use or other???

I think that it would be wonderful to put another hotel in Turtle Creek, especially right there. I was excited to think that Dallas would finally be getting a Ritz Carlton, but that won't happen anytime soon I guess. With working in the hotel business, I've seen that there is a large market for Ultra-Luxury hotels in Dallas. After 9-11 the Hotel Crescent Court had some of the highest occupancy rates in the city and they weren't laying anybody off. Both the Crescent and the Mansion (which I work for both) are sold out frequently. I would think if there was a mixed use development like the Centrum (but with a hotel also) on the corner it would be wonderful.
