I have a friend who works in real estate.......and he says there are plans for some type of Crescent development in the lot directly across the street from the Crescent Hotel. Not quite sure if it will be office/residential/hotel....but I bet it will be nice. I'll keep y'all posted when I hear more.

Did he give you any sort of timeline as to when the project will be announced or when a ground-breaking might occur? It's a great piece of property and probably has some of the best views of the Dallas skyline!

No. He said there are some plans for the near future (cannot define near future though). no dates. no specifics....yet

Is this on the land currently occupied by the Dallas Children's Theater? If so, it will be about a year before they can begin demolishing anything. DCT just rents the space from Rosewood (the copany that owns the Crescent), but Rosewood is a gigantic supporter, so they are giving DCT as much time as they need to move into their new facility in North Dallas.

I work at the Hotel Crescent Court and from what I know the lot facing Pearl Street across from the Crescent Towers, is owned by Ms. Caroline Rose Hunt, the founder of Rosewood Hotels and Resorts. Co-workers and I think it would make a great park with trees and benches to sit at during breaks from work.

crescentboi, funny you mention that area as park space. I drive by it all the time and have thought the same thing. It would look great with some landscaping and maybe a fountain.

man i couldn't agree more with you guys. That would be a great park, especially with a large fountain in the center. BUT, who are we kidding....that land is far too valuable for someone to allow it to be used as a park!
