My husband and I were both going to come but in the end only I came; he stayed in the UK.

Can anyone recommend a good apartment in north Dallas with good tollroad access? Ideally a 2-1 or a 2-2, ideally less than $1k pcm. Thanks.

I didn't know there was such a thing as a ghetto along the tollway. The Park Cities and Preston Hollow people will be shocked to know they've been living in a ghetto all this time.

The Tollway is one of the most affluent corridors in DFW. What is your price per sq ft ceiling? Do you want to be near to the arts, near to certain business districts?

What is your ideal part of London? Telling us that may make it easier to identify the ideal part of Dallas.

Hard to say. A friend of mine lives nearish to the tollroad in a complex off Midway road, but there's one across the street that takes section 8 people so....er....I wouldn't want to live there.

Basically I want a complex that's nice and quiet; I don't like a lot of noise. I know apartments are noisier as a rule than houses but I don't want to hear my neighbor's TV or stereo through the wall and I don't like big loud parties.

Since I work in IT but don't have a job yet I'll probably end up working either in Las Colinas or in Plano/Richardson so I need somewhere that's an easyish commute.
