Any one get towed downtown for parking?

The RUF Porsche Turbo S sat all night long parked the wrong way on a one way street in a no parking zone. ( I think this car runs $180k w/ the RUF pgk) This Handicapped marked Tahoe was in right out of the Valet Zone and was being towed before the Dallas Safety Patrol make them put it down. That guy got lucky that DSP saw the Handicapped sticker or he would of had to pick his car up from the pound. Now I saw the RUF at 5:30am he might of got towed but it was still sitting at 7am when I went to work.

That was a Ruf? In those pictures it was totally indistinguishable from my stock 911 Turbo. Even the same color and wheels.

I suspect a lot of tow operators would be scared to touch the Porsche. Between the 4-wheel drive, the almost non-existent ground clearance, the high price tag and the type of person who owns one (Type A, with lots of money for lawyers), the liability potential is pretty darn high.

I'm thinking the Porsche has some aftermarket parts to make it look like a Ruf.

Tow truck drivers will tow anything if they think the owner will come and pay to get it out of the impound lot. Expensive cars and the potential damage that could be caused by towing them does not bother a tow truck driver at all.

Again this is coming from the meter maid, but she said he was a trust fund kid. Any way looks as if the Mosaic gave up on Towing or sticking his car. It's in the downstairs parking most mornings
