About a week ago I visited with the Greenway Investments Rep, who is working on the re-development of the Old Malones location at Haskell & Gaston. He indicated that they were going to do a major overhaul of the site and that they were about to sign a lease with a Name Brand (would not tell me who) grocer to move into the Malones location. He did say that it was not a Dollar Store, Festival, Carnival type of chain. They are also going to have a bank going in on the corner.
They have started demo on the inside of the store and we noticed that they had survey folks out around the store last week.
Looks like Greenway http://www.greenwayinvestment.com/green/property.html has developed some nice sites with Name Brand Chains, so this should be a good thing for the Near East Dallas/Baylor Hospital area.
