Drivers short on time may want to think twice before cutting through University Park. The city is temporarily dropping its speed limit to 25 mph for six months to gauge how it will affect drivers.
The speed limit will remain 30 mph on Lovers, Hillcrest, Southwestern and Boedeker.
Studies found that the average speed on neighborhood streets is 27 mph, slightly less than the 30 mph speed limit in place throughout University Park.
