After making my rounds for the hour, I returned to my post only to find this lil guy...passed out...drooling on himself. Funniest thing about it? He doesn't even live here...well...anymore, that is. And oddly enough, I still haven't the foggiest as to exactly what he was doing in the building to begin with... Ole Jim wasn't much for words this eve.

After taking a moment to capture this heart warming scene, I woke the young man, had a good laugh and sent him on his way. Not but an hour later, I was headed back out to the garage when I came across my man again! ...passed out on a bench.... I called the cab myself this time.

Never a dull moment at 1509 Main...

Ninja,
You need to get out of downtown more. Some one of your talent should be shooting scenes in Oak Cliff, South Dallas and East Dallas. Some of you photos show the darker side of the city. You should go take pics of the public housing and older cemetarys and buildings in the southern sector. Just my opinion.

thanks man...noted. i used to get around, but not so much these days.. i'll make it a point to break outta dt every now and then.. spring weather will throw things into gear. i'm ready for a change anyway..

its funny.. just the other day i was telling my buddy how i needed to go shoot a few spots in oak cliff... k-park in particular... i'll start hitting the really hardcore spots in south dallas again when the state says i can carry a firearm.. i've been wanting to hit the area around Hatcher & 175, but damn.... snowflake said ‘hell no’.. not without some sort of visual deterrent anyway.. like a tank mounted 50 cal, or maybe some teenage mutant ninja turtles at my six…

i'm sure eric and i will get out and do some exploring as soon as he makes it home... like a couple weeks out, i think.. can't wait!!

Yeah, seriously, you do great work man. I'd love to see other parts of town through your lens. And uhhh... just my opinion, but anyplace you don't feel safe without several teenage mutant ninja turtles is probably best avoided ;)

yessiree... can't wait to be back home. it's been a strange day here in manhattan...

coming home from a photoshoot this morning and stumble on this crime scene...

apparently a 16-year old boy got stabbed with an icepick on his way to school... right by union square... comforting.

(he is now in stable condition which is good)
