Thanksgiving Square

What is your opinion of Thanksgiving Square? This could be the most important little urban parks Downtown.....but I think the walls that surround it, the gates that close at 6pm, all make this one of the most unfriendly places Downtown.
How to change?

Just like parts of the tunnels, this park is privately owned. There isn't much that can be done.

Ouch....didn't realize it was privately owned, but that explains a lot.

It's not meant to be an urban park per se. If anything, the intent is provide a spot that isolates you from "vibrancy" of the city. The focus is more on reflection than resting your dogs. Consequently don't expect it to connect to the neighborhood. Unfortunately the design could also lead to people wanting to make a longer term visit. Therefore the gates exist.
