As developers build more town homes and apartments near Greenwood Cemetery in uptown, neighbors fear there's less regard for history. WFAA's Brad Watson reports.

Those townhomes are CRAMMED in that space. It should be interesting to see how well they sell--esp at 800 - 1.2. Also, this has caused prices to drop at JG Moore's West Side project due to the view being blocked in for the "exterior" units.

I tend to agree with the St-T people on this one. That's a tiny site for 8 townhomes. They need to get some money together to make it a park.

cemetary on one side, walmart on the other.
the only plus is the tax revs.

^And 3 story (plus roofdeck) on the other side... like I said earlier, these are CRAMMED in that space.

^Yep... sure do. And, it shows how popular the 'hood is when they shove 8 townhomes in a tiny space and charge 800 - 1.2 for them. :)

Is this the same project where they found a bunch of bones during excavation this spring? Kinda freaked everyone out. They ended up being from a cow or a goat or something?

^Nope...that is a Post Condo Project on McKinney and West Grove. This project is on Hall close to State--bounded by the cemetary, Hall, Hugo, and the WestSide townhomes.

I like them and hope they get done, unless they encroach on the cemetary.

http://www.greenwoodtownhomes.com/ is no longer an active site and the advertising at the property's site has been painted over. It appears as if this project is canceled. $800k+ for graveyard views seemed a bit high to me so I am not all that surprised. I saw an advertisement a few months back where Greenwood promoted the graveyard views as if it were a "positive" feature of the development.

^Yep... this is D E A D! I thought that would be a tough sell.
On a side note, Urban Innovations West Side development is selling like crazy. Phase III is under construction.

Should have guessed that they didn't have the moxie to make it work. They bought greenwoodtownhomes.com from an outfit called "123cheapdomains.com" (whois link) (http://whois.domaintools.com/greenwoodtownhomes.com).
