Im looking for a park in or around downtown/ uptown to have a nice picnic, does anyone have any suggestions? Or does anyone know of a nice park in Dallas that would be great?

Thanks in advance....

I highly recommend Lee Park on Turtle Creek Blvd between Hall and Lemmon Streets. I used to picnic there a lot. Lots of big shade trees too.

Is that not the gay hook up park as well?

Yeah, across Turtle Creek Blvd from Lee Park, along side Turtle Creek is the best, IMO.

I took my girlfriend to the water fountain park in front of union station on Sunday. It was nice.

That's Ferris Plaza. The fountain area in Dealey Plaza is nice, but everyone just thinks "JFK" when they hear Dealey it kills the picnic appeal. My favorite place for free outdoor dining Downtown is the sculpture garden around the Trammel Crow building.
