Does anyone know any details about the warehouse on the south side of Pacific, just before going under Central? It really bothers me that property owners are allowed to leave structures in such disrepair. Not just aesthetically aweful, but there are literally glass doors shattered and huge shards there for someone to be hurt. I have to pass it each day on my way to work, and it drives me crazy. I'm starting to like the idea of a city's ability to seize and auction these types of "abandoned properties". They certainly wouldn't sit by if I let my house go to pot like that...

Sorry, frustrates me to see it when we are trying so desperately to revitalize our great city.

I agree that it's a horrible eyesore. Especially for those who stay at the Adams Mark...it's a straight shot view from the hotel...doesn't give them a good impression of Dallas. Is there something that the city can do? Anything we as citizens can do?

I seem to recall when checking it out some time ago that someone from East Texas was the owner, maybe Athens, or Tyler maybe? Probably could not care less about our downtown, or how it appears. Up in a second story window, there is what was once a weed that is now approaching tree status growing from the window...sad. Also, the upper portions of the large door frames seem to be sagging, which cannot be good.

This situation is similiar, but in my opinion even worse than that Main Street building that everyone is so up in arms about with the buckled large white tiles. The front door on this building is a true and immediate health hazard!

Not, having seen, I can not say, but if it is that bad, you should call the council member whose district this building belongs too.
