Breaking News
Part of a building under construction has collapsed at the Victory development near the American Airlines Center in Dallas. There are no reports of injuries.
WFAA isn't reporting which building yet but there is a video of the collapse.

That looks like quite a large surface area to do in one pour.

It is actually very typical to pour an entire floor at a time. From the images it looks like the temporary wood shoring o the floor below failed. I doubt anyone was hurt because there shouldn't be anyone on that floor when a pour is going on so lets hope that holds true.

What type of delay might this cause to the overall project?

The only way I could see this really slowing things down is if they are unable to use any of that pour. I would guess they were still in the process of pouring when this happened, and I would also assume that no one is permitted up there so that concrete will dry in its current state which is pretty rough. Depending on how far they got floating and leveling the floor out will determine how much will have to be cut away and repoured. I would guess 1/2 of that floor is toast!

Me 2.

This wont be a big delay but it will take a couple days maybe a week to fix, but also depends on what happened and how quick they can get back to work.

The news is saying it was the scaffolding that failed and that no one was hurt. Good news.

I drove by, it doesn't seem to be slowing things down. The crews are pushing wet concrete to the ground on the side that collapsed, but on the other side, they're still pouring concrete on the next level. It looks like it was a minor incident.

didn't a wall collapse at the Azure site a couple of weeks ago? I swear I saw this on the news sometime around Christmas.
