It looks like Dubai is running out of room, so i guess they went to Istanbul. These new towers are quite stunning.

News: 100 floor twins in Levent by Dubai International Properties

Istanbul: In a joint press conference today by Mayor of Istanbul Kadir Topbas and Dubai Holding CEO Mohammed Al Gergawi, it is announced that "Dubai Towers Istanbul" will be built as the first project of the $5 billion investment of Dubai Holding in Istanbul.

The twins, one of which reportedly has 100 floors, will cost $500 million and are scheduled to be completed in 2008.

The towers will rise on IETT's former bus garage in Levent financial district, right next to Tekfen Tower and across the Isbank Towers and Sabanci Center.

"Turkey is a fastly growing economy and has a strategic position between Europe, the Middle East and the former Soviet block. Istanbul is at the forefront of this development, which is the reason why we decided to make joint investments with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Dubai Towers Istanbul forms only 10% of our planned $5 billion investment in this city, which will not only be in the real estate sector but will also cover other key sectors of the Turkish economy. We plan to complete these investments within the next 4 years" declared Mohammed Al Gergawi, CEO of Dubai Holding.

A joint development company will be established, of which Dubai International Properties (DIP) will own a share of 80% and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will own a share of 20%.

49% of the company's shares will be available at Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE-100)

I like the overall shape but it looks a little like Calatrava's planned tower in Chicago.
