Are you looking for a summer project for the kids and/or yourself? I found these models (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=158364)while lurking around on SSP that I'm thinking about wasting some valuable time on. The models available are the Sears Tower, Aon Center, Bank of China, Empire State Building, Twin Towers, Great Pyramid of Khufu, Trump Tower, New 7 WTC, and a few others. The creator, STR on SSP, gives detailed instructions on how to create these. The only costs involved is printing out on cardstock (which I will probably do at kinkos), glue and scissors. I'm going to take a whack at some of them, and I figured other people here would find it interesting. Follow the link above to get the printouts.

I could do the pyramid.
These are pretty cool! Maybe someone could put together similar models for the Dallas skyline. I've always wanted to do Dallas in Legos, but lack motivation.

I think I'm going to start with the pyramid and work my way up...and ditto on the Dallas models, I was thinking the same thing

Someone should attempt Reuniuon Tower and the Hyatt. That would be cool.

That would be a cool project for Dallas. Most scrapers wouldn't be that complicated to do. I used to do this with cars, stadiums and shoes(Michael Jordan worship phase) when I was kid.

The Dallas models would be a good summer project for those here who are so inclined. Unfortunalty, if they were to be made to scale with STR's models, they would be pretty small...the BoA would be 7 or 8 inches (I'm doing my best to refrain from the gay jokes, so please don't provoke me)...and the other buildings would be hard to construct in detail. But on that note it isnt necessary to be on STR's scale, and his models could be enlarged. So...who is up to being a part of an awesome project? Who here doesn't want a scale model of downtown of their very own?
