Automated DART LRT Station Announcements

I don't have the email anymore, since I sent it quite a while ago, but I suggested a few things for the LRT System. I remember two of them were this: Make automated station announcements as well as announcing the line and the next stop, and having the station name appear on the LED screens upon approach. Here's what I got back:

DART is currently working on a project for the light rail system that would do exactly what you suggested, among other things as well. They are still in the beginning stages of this project but are working towards testing a system in a few months.

I haven't figured out why it doesn't do that. I know the buses do that, at least they did in Plano a couple of years ago.
