Yes, it seems to have gone from no advertizing to excessive amounts. I am fine with on-page-advertizing but I absolutly hate the pop up screens. Hope I win the X Box.

The reason for the sudden emergence of pop-up ads is because Troy has been gone for so long that he has not paid to suppress them in a long time.
I operate a website that uses the EZBoard bulletin board service and it requires me to pay them every 6 months to suppress ads on our website's bulletin board. EZBoard pumps tons of ads onto your board when you don't pay for this suppression service. Smart move on their part but for the service they offer and the relatively low cost of suppressing the ads, I have not been able to complain. Once Troy is back and able to work actively on updating the site, I'm sure we will see the ads disappear. In the meantime this board is going to be somewhat aggravating.

BCS-Sucks.com (http://www.BCS-sucks.com)
It's a little site I started last year with some fellow college football fanatic friends. Not sure how familiar you are with college football, but it has been hijacked within the last 5 years by an insane system known as the BCS (Bowl Championship Series) which is supported solely by ABC/ESPN, their corporate sponsors, and the college presidents they pay to prop it up. Polls have shown that a consistent 90+% of college football fans are lividly opposed to this sham.
Anyway, that's my rant, but the site is still evolving as we decide where we truly want to take it (most of us work busy jobs, so taking this side project to the professional level, would require a big jump in commitment for us... but may happen...). But for now, it's just a site for college football fans to chat, debate teams, games, etc., and propose ideas for possibly combatting the BCS. The site has been dormant for the off-season but will be picking up again soon with the season starting in a few weeks.

Patience is a virtue, I suppose--just keep on posting everybody until our generous host returns. God knows, now that summer is ending and the political season is on us, Dallas's foment and frustrations should be ramping on up. I love this damn town no matter what!

Hopefully, all that advertisement nightmare you all have been dealing with will go away within a day or two.
I was finally able to update the boards status.
Thanks!
-Troy.

In case any of you are looking for a free pupup blocker, I found a good website.
WebAttack-freeware-pupup blockers (http://webattack.com/freeware/misctools/fwpopblock.shtml)
I chose the Bayden PopupPopper and have been satisfied with it; although you can read about others and see which one suits you best.

(Note: For those of you who still think the bowls matter, (Thanks, BCS creators, for destroying the Cotton Bowl), you could rotate the major Bowl games around through the National Championship, Final 4, and Elite 8 games, like the BCS does now.)
^I love that line from your BCS site, mdunlap1!
