I have no real opportunity to do it until into October. I hate trying to set a deadline because I inevitably fail to meet it due to the whole day-job thing!

Below is a somewhat nostalgic, yet, humorous leftover image I found while I was pruning my server files in preparation for the near future. If anyone here was around in 1998-1999, they would've seen this regularly on the front page of the site then...

It was an link-based image map, old school!

Where are you C Troy Mathis?

I went back out to Northern Norway for a brief 'thing' in November. I'm back now. Was there for 3.5 weeks. Was basically just 'watching' for that time since my internet access was hardly adequate where I was. I did post some stuff on another forum, but, that's because it's based in the Netherlands and it was easier than trying to access ezboard's American server...

I do apologise that I can't seem to keep my promises with updates and all, and I do so appreciate that our little choir has become a much more swelled/bigger voice of recent. The topics are tremendous and I love them. I can't wait for us to be able to take it to the next LEVEL.

I, unfortunately go out on a unique 'thing' on a trident submarine in approximately one month. I won't return until mid-April. Times just aren't conducive for me to extend this forum and website further to a broader spotlight at this time - I consistently get accosted with sudden 'changes' in plans on the workfront. Rest assured, I will never abandon, for I have great hopes our voice can be heard in the broader Dallas city spotlight!

I'm near Seattle right now, a smaller locale known as Bangor, Washington.

Welcome to all who have joined within the past 2 months. I'm glad to see you here, as are all the other forumers undoubtedly! Keep the news and talk going!

Thanks for the reply Troy.

I may be extremely late here....but do you mind telling me what you do for a living? It sounds like it keeps you more than busy....and traveling tons.

....and you GarrettCarey, are you also maintaining this site, or just a very good citizen?

TamTagon,
Troy gets all the credit for this site and the board. Congrats Troy!

On the other hand, I am only addicted to this board. I love Dallas, Fort Worth, and "the urban city". I'd like to see our metro area become the topic of conversation and a travel destination like so many other great metros of the world.

Yeah, I don't talk a whole lot about my 'real' job because it's just something I really can't find a way to discuss. I do US Navy crypto and I'm employed on a trident submarine presently based out of Bangor, Washington - which is near Seattle. When I'm not on 'patrol', I find myself doing Northern Arctic things - mostly around Norway and northern Russia.

Yes, I still come home though - of course! Thanks for the comments, all.
