Just putting a feel out for if anyone minds if I move this forum onto the dallasmetropolis.com server sometime in the near future. I'd just have to install a free board there, which wouldn't be all that difficult - I already have 3 different ones in my possession to choose from.
Let me know!

You are the man running the show. How would it affect us?

I think it'd be a greta idea. This is convenient for me just because I have an EZBoard membership, so it keeps me logged in all the time, but it might be faster if it were on the dallasmetropolis server. Whatever you think is best!

It would really only affect you all by having to get "used" to the feel of a new board and "atmosphere."
It definitely won't look like this one - may even be quicker. But, then again - it's just a board for us to all communicate on and with no exorbitant amount of people here - speed isn't an issue. And....I don't ever want outside advertisement on this board again!

Yeh, these ads are pretty annoying. The theat of them alone are enough for me to like the idea of a 'new' board.

Actually, it will be way faster on the website's server as long as I set it up correctly...! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)">
Mainly, I want to cut the string on ezboard (it's been a long time, though) and move on to bigger and better things - so to speak.
Will gladly accept any other suggestions/comments regarding the forum!

a new forum would be great. would be nice if you could make the posts searchable. <a href=http://www.archinect.com>Archinect</a> has a mighty nice <a href=http://www.archinect.com/cgi-bin/discuss_cgi/index.cgi>discussion board</a>.

Yes, any new forum that is installed will definitely have all the useful tools such as that!

Sounds fine as long as the threads can be easily moved.

Is the forum being moved right now?

No, Garrett, not yet man! I won't have the time to do it until late October. I just wanted to get the feel from the few who are even here about it.

Feel free to post there, but, I'm trying to get the EzBoard threads moved over there first - whatever you feel. It's (the thread transfer) complicated and vbulletin has some rare scripting (and well guarded!) that may be able to pull it off! Quite soon, as well. EzBoard isn't compatible with anyone, practically.
