New DMNH

Dallas desperately needs a top-notch natural history museum, and this hopefully will happen when the new facility is built downtown. But I don't think we'll see ground broken on a new DMNH for some time, if ever. It needs a visionary leader and a benefactor with deep pockets. When it gets those the dirt might start to fly. Stayt uned, but don't hold your breath.:cool:

Look at what the Nasher Sculpture Garden is doing for this city. A great DMNH could do the same thing. The sad thing is that there is a natural tie between the DMNH and the Old Red museum but the two don't seem to know the other exists.:cool:
