I live in Camden Farmers Market. I understand that I am only a few blocks away from the bridge homeless shelter, but I had a question. My wife and I walk all around downtown, deep ellum, and uptown all the time. Is there any special reason why I see far more homeless navigate between deep ellum and the bridge (just on the west side of the farmer's market) than any other area?
I don't have a problem with it, I understand that all people of all different types have freedom to go where they please. I would just like to know if there is a specific reason they travel to deep ellum on a daily basis.
Thanks!

In the CBD the enforcement is a little higher. In Deep Ellum with all the vacant storefronts and alleys, the homeless can wander around with ease.
Also goes back to the Homeless Triangle of downtown. Just like other wild animals like bears or lions, you can easily avoid them by staying away from their feeding, sleeping and breeding areas. In the case of Downtown Homeless if you get north of Pacific, you will not see any homeless. That area is devoid of liquor stores. You can roughly draw lines between The Bridge, The Stewpot and the liquor stores. Anything in that area, formed by a triangle will be thick with homeless. Outside that area, they are few and far between. Some will drift as far as Fuel City sometimes but very rarely.

Problem is that there are lots or morons out there, like what I saw last weekend. A BMW full of 20 something blonds leaving the Camndem Farmers Market apartments got stopped at a traffic light and I saw one those nit witts hand a 5 dollar bill to this bum pan handling at that intersection... So guess what ? That BUM will now stick to that intersection for as long as he can!
