New Mavs uniform

What's with all the new unis? This one is better than the new Stars jersey, but I still don't care for it much.

Its definitely better than the Stars, but that isn't that hard to out do the stars jersey.

I kind of liked it. Things like this usually grow on me. I'm very slow to change. But usually give me some time and I can accept it.

But not the Stars. Nope. Won't change my view on that.

I like it better than the Stars new jersey because it at least resembles their regular uniforms. I agree it looks terrible on TV. I didn't even think it was the same as the one in the above pic. Couldn't tell if it was black, purple, silver, or sweat-stained.

Call me crazy- but I sort of liked them!!! They don't well wear on TV though- it was tough to figure out who was who... And man- I hope they play better tonight!

We need to schedule a DallasMetropolis night at the AAC to see the Mavs!

Honestly, don't expect good play for awhile until they are used to each other. Just enjoy the games for awhile until then. They are still entertaining.

I'm not sure team chemistry has anything to do with poor shooting... 7 of 41 from the 3 point line in the first 2 games- that's pretty bad! I'm not in panic mode though- they can't shoot this bad forever- just need to keep firing and it'll come... I did like the Nowitzki and Walker combo at the end of the game last night!

Why did they change it? What was wrong with the old one?

OAKLAND -- The Mavericks' alternative silver uniforms likely won't be making a return appearance.

Owner Mark Cuban said the outfits simply didn't make the grade with him or with fans when they were unveiled in the opener Tuesday.

He said he got only three positive e-mails about the uniforms out of about 300.

The new look marked the first time in franchise history that the team has had an alternate road uniform. The original plan was for the new uniform to be used a several more games throughout the season.

"The idea of the second road uniform is to add a slight edge to our current look," Cuban said before the opener.

The uniform includes much of the same look of the jersey and shorts that were revamped in 2001. The color, however, is strikingly different from the deep blue that the Mavericks have been wearing on the road.

Cuban was on with the Musers and said that the color was more true silver before they sent it to the league. When the league sent it back, that Jersey that you saw was what they recieved.

Cuban said he didn't like it either, but some of the players liked it so they wore it that first game.

He also mentioned that because the league messed it up, that they will be allowed to create another alternate Jersey that will probably be available next year. They typically go every two years.

The new jersey will be on shelfs to buy as a souvenier.
