Does anyone know what the construction is that is going on across the street from Texas de Brazil? I've noticed some large concrete beams are up but don't know what it is. Also there is some work being done on some of the buildings on Cedar Springs between Mattitos and Texas de Brazil. They look pretty shabby, but hopefully they'll get fixed up.

I've noticed the construction across from Texas de Brazil as well and have wondered the same thing. It's obviously going to be at least a few stories tall based on the concrete support beams being poured, but I haven't heard anything about what it might be...hopefully someone on this board will know.

I'm sure most of you want a Walmart there.
Is it really necessary for you to drag that spitting match over to another topic? We got it. You don't like Wal Mart.

Actually, I hope that it's a Walmart stacked on top of a Sams, stacked on top of a Dollar General store, just for your sake Columbus.

I have no problem with Dollar General. We'd better drop this or JBB might start cussing at us again.
You're right. I've edited my post and this should be dropped.

As I'm sure you have all noticed this is complete now and it looks fairly decent too. I like how when you are driving down Cedar Springs towards the Crescent from Turtle Creek Blvd, you can see the angled tower for the storage center and if I remember correctly at night it has some pretty interesting lighting. It's better than I thought it would be.
