I don't know if some of you may know this already, but my parents had moved to Washington DC just over a year ago. I knew that they would not like it but they argued and said it would be great! wrong! just today they just signed the contract on a unit on the 18th floor of 1999 McKinney and will be moving in on 12/01/03!! They said that they missed Dallas so much and had to return to our great city! (it also helps that they got an amazing condo in a great location!) Just thought I'd let y'all know! (I'm just a little excited if you can't tell!):D

Wow! That's awesome! I'm a huge fan of 1999 McKinney. You'll have to go up and take some great pictures for us from their new condo!!

Well just some news to let you know how well the real estate market is here in Dallas.

My parents who moved into 1999 McKinney not even 1 year ago have recieved a written offer on their unit (which is not even listed as being for sale, it never hit the market) for $220k more than what they paid for it!!! Now if that's not an amazing increase in property value I don't know what is! So they are very excited about this and are now looking for another home. They have no clue what they want at all, but are open to all areas of the city, so should be interesting to see what they choose.

You just made me sick...I contemplated purchasing one of those last year and didn't because I was scared the view would be compromised by development to the south.

Me too -- I was interested in the original on Cedar Springs with a view of the Flying Red Horse. I would have had to sell my 'flagship' property on Westlake Ave in Lakewood to have bought one, and it was leased, so I passed.
