Folks, it looks like the Dallas Museum of Art has really improved its image with new signs both outside and inside the building.
Inside, they have new signs directing people to different sections of the museum, even pointing out the new Nasher Museum. But outside, they have done wonders. They have several new DMA signs in 3 colors that say "Dallas Museum of Art", with a red, blue and green color scheme.
But the Flora street entrance is stunning. It has been opened up by removing some side walls, it has the name of the museum in lighted letters over the entrance, and it has 4 new massive signboards with a reproduction of a painting on each side. The picture is greater than life size and brilliantly lit.
And the urban space between the Crow museum, the Nasher museum and the DMA has become a comfortable, intimate outdoor living room, someplace that makes you want to linger, maybe sit down with a paper cup of coffee, or chat with a friend...
Well, done, Dallas!
