Pledge to Texas

I heard this summer something like public schools students in Texas would begin saying a pledge to Texas in addition to the United States of America. Am I mistaken?

Very true. We've been doing it every day in the public schools: pledge to the American flag, pledge to the Texas flag, then a moment of silence. It's quite nice, really. I like doing it.

Honor the Texas flag
I pledge allegiance to thee
Texas, one and indivisible.

Sadly, I was the only one who actually knew it by heart the first time we did it. Oh well.
